Maggie

February 2009

My name is Maggie and my Mom’s name is Denise. I am three and I had done a great job training my Mom. Then she heard about Mutts 2 Manners . . . . and, everything changed. Now, when someone comes to the door, I bark but stop when I am told to stop. And, when my Mom tells me to ‘stay’ I do (almost all the time). Now my Mom and I take walks every day . . . . because I no longer pull her along but walk next to her. The walks are fun! And now I understand that when the door opens it is not my opportunity to run out the door. I wait until I am told it is okay for me to go outside. My Mom says it is much safer that way and that she no longer worries that I will run into the street. Justin made the training fun for both of us.

I have read the books and watched the shows, but what seemed so easy wasn’t for me until I met Justin Kitts. Justin made training Maggie simple and showed tremendous patience. Very quickly Maggie was staying when told, was not running out the door as soon as it opened and no longer barked incessantly when someone came to the door. These were all great accomplishments. The best has been the walks. I love to walk every day and dreaded taking Maggie because she had pulled and panted the entire time. Not any more, walks are fun. Justin has a true love for animals; you can tell that when you first meet him and see how he interacts with your pet. That is as important as the training itself . . . . . these are members of our family. If you are thinking of having Justin work with you and your pet ----- I highly recommend it.

Bella

From cat-attacking-Boston-Terror to sweet and gentle family member

Wow, we are so pleased with the techniques and education that Mutts2Manners Trainer, Justin Kitts, has given us. Three long months after bringing our new baby home, we realized that we needed professional help and we needed it NOW.

The one-on-one training is fantastic because we received the trainer’s full attention and made incredible progress. Within the first 5 minutes we started to see significant changes. Justin made it look so easy – and it was – just seeing it first hand gave us the confidence to jump into the training program that we had been dreading. Bella is no longer a wild woman when company arrives, she leaves our cats alone (most of the time), she leaves all of the house areas alone that aren’t hers to enjoy (house plants, cat food dishes, shoes left out…) And all of this was happening just after our 2nd session. Justin took the time to explain the rationale behind the many training techniques available and showed us, with great results, the methods he knew best suited Bella’s behavior and personality.

Besides being incredibly knowledgeable and professional, Justin was a pleasure to work with and we would strongly recommend his services to anyone who wants a well-behaved dog. At a tender 6 months of age, Bella is well on her way to becoming a confident and well behaved “Boston Terrier Extraordinaire” and we’re looking forward to more advance training in our future! Thanks Justin and Brady

Insane Dane

I found a Mutts 2 Manners card at my local dry cleaners. I figured I had nothing to loose by giving them a call. My wife and I have a great dane mastiff mix that was a terror. We were unable to leave her alone in any room. She would tear carpet, chew shoes at the least. Even in a room with us she would dig at the carpet, not stay still and whack the television with her enormous tail. It got to the point of being unbearable. My wife with out my knowledge had actually tried re-homing this dog to 3 rescue groups but was unable to due to her size. When I stumbled upon this card, I figured I was going to give Mutts2Manners a run for their money

Justin Kitts was my trainer. He showed up on time and was very professional. He taught us many things about animal behavior that I was unaware of. Within the first training session I knew that I had made a great choice. He taught us that it is not cruel to crate train a dog. Having a crate for my dog is a sense of security for her knowing she has a place of her own. He taught her manners, she no longer jumps on company knocks people over etc.. She learned and abides by all the basic commands he taught her. Such as sit, down, place, come, etc. I would highly recommend Mutts 2 Manners to anyone with a troubled dog.
